2 new Frog species discovered
In an effort to stay ahead of a deadly fungal disease that has wiped out more than 100 frog species, research and conservation agencies have been collecting healthy frogs in areas not yet touched by the fungus. Researchers at The Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama state that almost 15 percent of the new frog species discoveries in Panama and Costa Rica have happened within the past seven years. http://biology.about.com/b/2010/06/19/frog-species-discovered-in-panama.htm
